The Swedish word for business is näringsliv. It means “nourishment for life” or “nurturing life.” In English the word business means “to be busy” – “a state of being much occupied or engaged”, or “what one is about at the moment.” What are we about in every moment we are in the “business” of education and child development? What if we were on conversation?
Come join an Edge Alliance from 5:00-7:00 p.m. US EST on Tuesday, February 4, 2016 at no cost to you other than your time and a willingness to explore the possibilities of being part of a collaborative educational community dedicated to the business of nourishing life.
This invitation is open to all – parents and caretakers, educators, mentors, coaches, counselors, advisers, administrators, community elders, organizations and businesses. If you know of someone or an organization – not for profit or otherwise – who might be interested in being in the business of nourishing the life of our children and the planet, please by all means forward this letter and extend the invitation. All children are our children.
In this show we cover:
