Podcast 10 – Revolutionize Allowance

Allowance… tricky subject. When do you give it? How much? But, without a doubt, the most important questions you must answer are how and why it is earned. I talk about how one father’s idea for allowance is revolutionary, promoting problem-solving, innovation, and drive. This idea is also a way to teach a child about PERMIE KIDs ethics and principles, including care of people, observe and interact, integrate rather than separate, and catch and store energy. I hope to open your mind (and thus the mind of your child) about how we can view energy, work, and value.

  1. I like how this promotes children not only to identify a problem but come up with a proposed solution the THEY can implement. You then take it a step further to have the child negotiate an agreeable payment for them implementing the solution they came up with. This not only encourages their problem solving skills but also instills in them a sense of “value” or “self worth” because they have to put a price on their time/effort/labor. Great idea, I look forward to using this with my children.
